Newton Willis 
Newton was born in 1858 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Newton's father was Wilson W. Willis and his mother was Nancy Mitchell. His paternal grandparents were James Larkin Willis and Mary Wilson; his maternal grandparents were John J. Mitchell and Martha Lyons. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Nathaniel G., Richard F., Cornelia Frances, Mary and Lilly. He was the second youngest of the six children.-
