Martha E. was born in 1872 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.1 Martha E.'s father was George Buckellew Wexler and her mother was Elizabeth Bacon. Her paternal grandparents were Jonathan Wexler and Mary Birdwell. She had a sister named Mary Bacon. She was the younger of the two children. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James Monroe, Joseph R., Martha Jane, Byer B. and Polly B.. She died at the age of 78 in 1950.1 -
