Henry Geschwind was born on May 2nd, 1818 in ,,Virginia.1 Henry Geschwind's father was Jacob Wax and his mother was Susan Elizabeth Galbraith. His paternal grandparents were Henry Wax and Margaret Geschwind; his maternal grandparents were William Galbraith and Ellen. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William Caldwell, Stokley, James H., Nicholas F., Elizabeth E., Sidney and Susan Ann. He was the oldest of the eight children.-
