William Doctor 'Doc' WOFFORD

William Doctor 'Doc' was born on January 9th, 1813 in Guilford Co., North Carolina.¹   William Doctor 'Doc''s father was William Lafayette WOFFORD and his mother was Sarah Yerkes.  His paternal grandparents were John WOFFORD and Nancy Burroughs; his maternal grandfather was Samuel Yerkes. He had three brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named John Smith, Charles Pinkney, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Sarah, Levinia and James.  He was the third youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 67 on April 1st, 1880 in Lenox, Dent, Missouri.  He was buried in Wofford Cemetery, Lenox, Dent, Missouri.^1 1
