James WOFFORD

James was born about 1819 in Stewart Co., Tennessee.¹   James' father was William Lafayette WOFFORD and his/her mother was Sarah Yerkes.  His/her paternal grandparents were John WOFFORD and Nancy Burroughs; his/her maternal grandfather was Samuel Yerkes. He/she had four brothers and three sisters, named John Smith, Charles Pinkney, Benjamin, William Doctor 'Doc', Elizabeth, Sarah and Levinia.  He/she was the youngest of the eight children.  He/she died in 1890 in Dent Co., Missouri.  He/she was buried in Wofford Cemetery, Pilot Grove, Dent Co., Missouri.^1 1
