William Turney

William was born on September 25th, 1808 in ,,Kentucky.¹   William's father was Peter Turney and his mother was Judith Collins.  His paternal grandparents were Daniel Turney and Susan; his maternal grandparents were William Collins and Martha. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Whitfield, Felix G., Benjamin F., Daniel, Susan, Lucretia, Julia Ann and Sarah Or Sallie.  He was the oldest of the nine children.
