Juresin was born in 1862 in ,,Illinois.1 Juresin's father was Griffin Tipsword and her mother was Elizabeth Banning. Her paternal grandparents were John Tipsword and Frances Or Farmusy Carlyle; her maternal grandfather was Michael Banning. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John J., James Meredith, Isaac Vincent, Christopher C., Joseph C., Walter, Mary Hester Josie, Sarah Ann and Minda. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 9 in November 1871 in ,,Illinois. She was buried in Tipsword Cemetary, Beecher City, Effingham, IL.1 1 -
