Spicey was born in September 1876 in Johnson Co., KY.1 Spicey's father was Hiram C. Tackett and her mother was Lucinda G. Shavers. Her paternal grandparents were John Sizemore and Alsey Tackett. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Isaac, Lewis L., Andrew J., John Milton, Moses, Samuel, Elizabeth J., Ella, Susan F., Martha E. J. and Mary Alice. She was the youngest of the twelve children.1 -
