George Dewey was born on August 23rd, 1909 in Johnson Co., KY.1 George Dewey's father was Sanford B. Tackett and his mother was Dora Bays. His paternal grandparents were Lewis L. Tackett and Lydia Margaret Lemaster. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Sherman, Hershell, William Haston, Harvey, Harvey, Rosalee, Jessie Kathleen, Lillian B. "Lillie", Lorraine, Marie and Nola Mae. He died at the age of 43 on January 23rd, 1953.1 -
