William S. Smith

William S. was born in 1834 in Kentucky.¹   William S.'s father was Benjamin T. Smith and his mother was Mrs. Emily Smith. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named George W., Erasmus Benjamin, James, Mary C., Frances E., Alice G., Emily Jane, Sarah, Susan and Elizabeth.  He was the oldest of the eleven children.
