Benjamin Smith

Benjamin was born in 1873 in Washington Co., Missouri.¹   Benjamin's father was William S. Smith and his mother was Emily Simpson.  His paternal grandparents were Benjamin T. Smith and Mrs. Emily Smith; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Simpson and Lovey Coats. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Joseph S., William F., Samuel P., Lovey E., Nancy L., Rosanna and Mary.  He was the second youngest of the eight children.
