George Vernon Shipley

George Vernon was born in 1874 in Tennessee.¹   George Vernon's father was George Washington Shipley and his mother was Margaret Clonniger Fitzgerald.  His paternal grandparents were Enoch Shipley and Lucy Ann Roller. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Nathan William, James B., Mary E., Barbara, Lucy Ann, Margaret and Fannie Belle.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 45 on April 1st, 1919.¹
