William Shanks 
William was born in 1811 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 William's father was Christian Shanks and his mother was Mary Or Polly Pearson. His paternal grandparents were Michael Shanks and Elizabeth; his maternal grandparents were Christian Pearson and Catherine. He had five brothers and two sisters, named George, Christian, Henry, John, Michael, Catherine Or Catey and Elizabeth. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Michael, John and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 50 in 1861 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 -
