Her paternal grandparents were Ezekiel Robinson and Hannah; her maternal grandparents were John Manis and Celia. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Powell, Mack, Absalom, John, Fayette, Sarah, Emeline, Elizabeth and Cornelia. She was the second oldest of the ten children.-
