William Chester was born on March 24th, 1896 in Windsor, Casey County, Kentucky.1   William Chester's father was John Brackston Roberts and his mother was Helena F. Walters.  His paternal grandparents were Ashel Roberts and Eliza Jane Combest; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Walters and Mary Wade. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named George Luther, Calvert Leslie, Berthie Williams, Jason Wesley, Otha Brinkley, Stanley Belmont, Wade Coffey, Welby Lee, Alice Patri, Mary Jane and Mertyle Ethel.  He died at the age of 30 on July 21st, 1926.1
