John D. Ray

John D. was born on August 27th, 1824 in ,Bourbon, Kentucky.¹   John D.'s father was Lewis G. Ray and his mother was Elizabeth Stone.  His paternal grandparents were John Ray and Elizabeth Lewis. He had three brothers and a sister, named William T., James Edward, Charles V. and Arabella.  He was the oldest of the five children.
