James Edward Ray

James Edward was born in 1837 in ,Bourbon, Kentucky.¹   James Edward's father was Lewis G. Ray and his mother was Elizabeth Stone.  His paternal grandparents were John Ray and Elizabeth Lewis. He had three brothers and a sister, named John D., William T., Charles V. and Arabella.  He was the second youngest of the five children.  He died in Paris, Bourbon, Kentucky.¹
