Pleasant Presley

Pleasant was born in 1823 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Pleasant's father was John Presley and his mother was Rebecca Green.  His paternal grandfather was Andrew Presley; his maternal grandparents were Green and Priscilla. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named George, William, John, James P., Green, Hiram, Morgan, Gilbert, Priscilla, Elizabeth, Jane and Eliza.  He was the second oldest of the thirteen children.
