Cleveland Powell

Cleveland was born in June 1885 in ,Effingham, Illinois.¹   Cleveland's father was William Ewuen Powell and his mother was Ellen.  His paternal grandparents were Seymour R. Powell and Angeline. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Theodore, Emerson, William Ewuen, George B., Curtlan and Lola.  He was the second youngest of the seven children. He had three half-sisters named Mary Jane, Sarah Ann and Ora Belle.
