Francis Leeper Phipps 
Francis Leeper was born on December 4th, 1833 in New Canton, Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Francis Leeper's father was Joshua Phipps and his mother was Abenaida Leeper. His paternal grandparents were William Phipps and Sarah Erwin; his maternal grandparents were Francis Leeper and Elizabeth Littlejohn. He had a brother and two sisters, named Phipps, Sarah Elizabeth and Louisa Or Abenaida. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William Joshua Mckinney and Nancy Ann Bradley. He died at the age of 44 on September 19th, 1878.1 -
