Caroline Noel 
Caroline was born in 1853 in Richwoods Twp., Washington Co., Missouri.1 Caroline's father was Noah Nowell and her mother was Rachel UNKNOWN. Her paternal grandparents were Reuben Nowell and "Polly" Zumwalt. She had four brothers and three sisters, named James J., Phillip, Isabel, John, Susan J., Mary F. and Elizabeth. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.
