John Tiger Manis 
John Tiger was born on June 28th, 1852 in ,Jefferson, Missouri.1 John Tiger's father was Elijah M. Manis and his mother was Mary Ann Murrell. His paternal grandparents were Elijah Manis and Agnes Anderson. He had a brother and seven sisters, named William Riley, Elizabeth Ann, Nancy Jane, Amelia, Lucy, Margaret, Mary Martha and Caroline. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Daniel Jackson, Joseph and Mary Sarah. He died at the age of 57 on April 17th, 1910 in Elk Creek, Texas, Missouri.1 -
