His paternal grandparents were Matthias Louderback and Mary Magdalena Brentz. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Isaac, Joseph, Philip, Daniel, Reuben, Elizabeth, Barbara, Sarah, Nancy Jane, Mary and Susannah.-
