Alpheus Lewis

Alpheus was born in 1799 in ,,Of Kentucky.¹   Alpheus' father was Thomas Lewis and his mother was Elizabeth Payne. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Hector P., Asa K., Edward, Stephen Douglas, Thornton, Douglas P., Anne Conyers Payne, Sarah Or Sally, Elizabeth, Catherine Or Kitty, Mary Or Polly and Sophia.  He was the second youngest of the thirteen children.  He died at the age of 66 in 1865.¹
