Francis David Kite 
Francis David was born in 1831 in Virginia.1 Francis David's father was David Kite and his mother was Marie Kauffman. His paternal grandparents were Martin Kite and Catharine Kiser. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Alfred Melton, John W., Alexander, Thomas Oscar, Harvey, Eliza Jane, Virginia Ann, Nancy and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Charles and Mary.-
