Ann Kite 
Ann was born in 1828 in Shenandoah County, Virginia.1 Ann's father was John Kite and her mother was Delia Armentrout. Her paternal grandparents were Martin Kite and Catharine Kiser; her maternal grandparents were John Armentrout and Anna Marie Baker. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named William, Jackson, Mary Ann, Harriet, Elizabeth, Amanda V., Sarah Jane, Frances C. and Angelina. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children.-
