Walter J. Jackson

Walter J. was born in July 1877 in Washington Co., Missouri.¹ Walter J.'s father was Smith Jackson and his mother was Sarah Jane Mercer. His paternal grandparents were Phillip Jackson and UNKNOWN Baker; his maternal grandparents were Isaac Mercer and Susan O. Hill. He had three brothers and four sisters, named George Chester, Rush, Albert, Fanny, Bertha, Jessie and Lizzie. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He had four half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Phillip, William, Austin Clark, John, Susan, Martha Ellen, Rachel, Sarah Catherine, Melissa and Mary. He died at the age of 77 on September 10th, 1954 in Sullivan, Franklin, Missouri. He was buried in September 1954 in p I.O.O.F. Cem., Sullivan, Franklin, Missouri.¹¹
