Matilda J. Helton

Matilda J. was born in 1870 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Matilda J.'s father was Wiley Helton and her mother was Mariah.  Her paternal grandparents were John Helton and Charity. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named James C., Jackson, Wiley Blount, Brownlow, William H., John, Stokley, Lucinda and Mary E..  She was the second youngest of the ten children.
