George Helton

George was born in 1845 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   George's father was John Helton and his mother was Charity. He had six brothers and three sisters, named William, Joshua, Wiley, Orvis, John, Jesse, Jane, Lavinia and Ann.  He was the third youngest of the ten children.
