James Heck

James was born in 1827 in ,,Virginia.¹   James' father was Jacob Heck and his mother was Barbara Kilmer.  His paternal grandparents were Daniel David Heck and Susannah Zellman. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Jesse, John W., George Washington, David Preston, Adam Stewart, Jacob, Lafayette, Lloyd, Martha and Sarah.  He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
