C. A. was born in 1853 in ,,Missouri.¹   C. A.'s father was James S. Harmon and her mother was Mary Ann UNKNOWN. She had five brothers and five sisters, named William C., James J., Edward H., John David, Garrison P., L. J., Sarah S., Mary F., M. A. and Amanda A..  She was the third youngest of the eleven children.
