Amanda A. was born in 1852 in ,,Missouri.¹   Amanda A.'s father was James S. Harmon and her mother was Mary Ann UNKNOWN. She had five brothers and five sisters, named William C., James J., Edward H., John David, Garrison P., L. J., Sarah S., Mary F., M. A. and C. A..  She was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.
