Henry Clay Gough

Henry Clay was born in 1863 in Johnson Twp., Washington Co., Missouri.¹   Henry Clay's father was Charles L. Gough and his mother was Martha YARBROUGH.  His paternal grandparents were William Gough and Margaret Golden; his maternal grandparents were Thomas G. YARBROUGH and Mahala Brown. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Milton B., Vincent M., John T., Charles L., Mary Ellen, Joseph H., Elizabeth, Mahala, Louise Alice and Martha Ann.  He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother named James W..
