Minerva Gillenwaters

Minerva was born about 1820 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Minerva's father was Thomas Gillenwaters and her mother was Eleanor Carmack.  Her paternal grandparents were Joel Gillenwaters and Sally Or Loretta Gibbons; her maternal grandparents were Cornelius Carmack and Mary Cookson. She had five brothers and two sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named John, Joel Carmack, James, Wesley, Isaac Shelby, Eleanor, Mary C. and Missouri G..  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Thomas B. and Martha.  She died about 1858.¹
