John C. Gillenwaters

John C. was born in 1794 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   John C.'s father was Joel Gillenwaters and his mother was Sally Or Loretta Gibbons.  His paternal grandfather was Thomas Gillenwaters. He had six brothers named William, David, Thomas, Elijah C., Joseph and Joel G..  He was the second youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 49 in 1843.¹
