Charlotte was born on September 22nd, 1803 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Charlotte's father was John Galbraith and her mother was Martha Larkins. Her paternal grandparents were Arthur Galbraith and Mary Sharp. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Andrew Larkins, John Sharp, Julia Ann, Arthur Wright, Priscilla, Matilda, Sarah, Melinda, Lavinia and Matilda. She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.-
