Richard was born about 1444 in Marblethorpe, Lincs., England.1 Richard's father was Thomas Fitz William and his mother was Margaret Dymoke. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Fitz William and Elizabeth Aske; his maternal grandparents were John Dymoke and Margaret Ludlowe. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, John, Robert, William, Eleanor, Elizabeth, Joan, Jane, Margaret and Beatrice. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.-
