Her paternal grandparents were William Fitz William and Agnes De Metham; her maternal grandparents were Edmund Deincourt and Isabel De Mohun. She had five brothers and four sisters, named William, John, Thomas, Robert, Reynald, Margaret, Isabel, Agnes and Elizabeth. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children.-
