John Ewalt

John was born in 1789 in Paris, Bourbon, Kentucky.¹ John's father was Henry Ewalt and his mother was Elizabeth Frye. His paternal grandparents were John Ewalt and Sarah; his maternal grandparents were Abraham Frye and Agnes Ann Young. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Henry D., Samuel, Richard, Sarah, Mary and Rebecca. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
