Catherine was born on October 14th, 1833 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.1 Catherine's father was John Droke and her mother was Isabel Wolford. Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Droke and Catherine Faust. She had eight brothers and a sister, named William David, Elkanah D., Jacob M., George Washington, James, Samuel, Isaac Dunn, Andrew Jackson and Anna. She was the fourth youngest of the ten children.-
