James M. Davis

James M. was born in 1888 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   James M.'s father was Thomas Davis and his mother was Sarah L. Rose.  His paternal grandparents were William Davis and Mary Larkin; his maternal grandparents were Solomon T. Rose and Martha Smith. He had four brothers and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named John, Robert, Edgar, Frank, Martha, Carrie, Elizabeth, Ida Josephine and Genian.  He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and six half-sisters, named William Mack, Ellen, Margaret H., Nancy C., Fannie, Mary and Margaret Lou.  He died at the age of 82 in 1970.¹
