William King Cross

William King was born on July 8th, 1814 in Tennessee.¹   William King's father was Elijah Cross and his mother was Catherine Cook.  His paternal grandparents were Elijah I Cross and Ann Lane. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Thomas Jones, David, Jacob Cook, Elijah, John, Rebecca, Eliza Jane, Elizabeth, Catherine, Ellender and Mary. He had five half-brothers named Alexander Sinclair, Andrew, Franklin P., James K. P. and Samuel L..  He died at the age of 79 on October 17th, 1893.¹
