William Courthope

William was born in 1505 in Of Cranbrook, Kent, England.¹   William's father was Alexander Courthoppe and his mother was Katherine Foster.  His paternal grandfather was Peter Courthope; his maternal grandfather was Robert Foster. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Peter, Richard, John, Catherine, Agnes, Elizabeth, Eleanor and Courthope.
