John Cope

John was born in 1807 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   John's father was James Cope and his mother was Elizabeth.  His paternal grandfather was Cope. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Andrew, William, Micajah, Elizabeth, Susan, Marietta and Tempe.  He was the second oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 50 in 1857.¹
