Philip's father was John Conyers and his mother was Margaret Darcy. His paternal grandparents were Christopher Conyers and Ellene Rylleston; his maternal grandparents were Philip Darcy and Eleanor Fitz Hugh. He had six brothers and five sisters, named John, Richard, Christopher, Henry, Robert, William, Eleanor, Elizabeth, Joan, Margaret and Margery.-
