Hugh Chestnut

Hugh was born in 1842 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Hugh's father was Henry Chestnut and his mother was Louisa. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Samuel and Bitha Jane.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named James, David, Mary and Parlee.
