Caroline Chestnut 
Caroline was born about 1830 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Caroline's father was Samuel Chestnut and her mother was Susan Lee. Her paternal grandfather was Chestnut; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Lee and Mary Or Polly. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Thomas H., Rodham, Patrick, Samuel, Catherine, Martha, Sarah, Margaret, Chestnut and Susan. She was the second oldest of the eleven children.
