Amanda Charles 
Amanda was born about 1841 in Tennessee.1 Amanda's father was Arlington J. Charles and her mother was Martha A. Delafield. Her paternal grandparents were Stephen K. Charles and Mary Knowles. She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Mary and Tabitha. She was the oldest of the four children.-
