Wilson Carpenter 
Wilson was born on May 10th, 1840 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Wilson's father was Allen Carpenter and his mother was Sarah Altom. His paternal grandparents were Yelberton Carpenter and Hannah Allen; his maternal grandparents were William Altom and Katherine Price. He had nine brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Wiley, Robert, James, Gabriel, Jack, George, Andrew, Mary, Jane, Rachel, Rachel and Martha. He was the oldest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 87 on August 1st, 1927.1 -
