Joseph Brooks 
Joseph was born in 1857 in ,Bourbon, Kentucky.1 Joseph's father was Samuel Brooks and his mother was Elvira Scott. He had two brothers and four sisters, named James W., Samuel A., Elizabeth, Mary, Nannie and Alice. He was the second youngest of the seven children.
